Root Canal Treatment is required when a tooth is badly decayed, cracked, and the nerve tissue within the tooth has been affected. With a root canal treatment, the original tooth can be kept, avoiding extraction.

How It Works
We will assess whether a root canal treatment is suitable for you. Our dentists are committed to retaining your natural tooth whenever possible. However, in cases where the tooth has been damaged beyond repair, an extraction may be recommended.

Procedure
The treatment involves removing the infected pulp tissue within the tooth and filling up the space left behind by the pulp (root canal) with a root canal filling material. The treatment is done with proper anesthesia for a relatively pain-free experience. Most patients find the feeling comparable to getting a filling.
STEP 3
Recovery
A few days after the treatment you may experience soreness and sensitivity as a result of the process. To help with the pain and discomfort, we will prescribe pain medication. It should take you a few days to recover. Your dentist may suggest a crown to be made after your root canal treatment to protect the tooth.
